Camping

  • Car Camping: If you wish to have a vehicle with you in the campground, please purchase the appropriate vehicle camping pass based on the length of your vehicle. If you will be parking in the day parking lot, you will need to purchase a day parking pass.
  • RV Camping: A limited number of RV hookups are available at the campground. Try to book yours soon before spots fill up.
  • Glamping: Enjoy nature with a VIP flare and stay in a VIP Yurt on-site including twin mattresses with pillows, sheets, comforters, a rug, lantern, chairs and a table, continental breakfast, concierge, and vroom driver.


Earthstar guests can arrive by 2PM on Thursday, March 20 to set up camp. Food vendors and bar will not open until Friday, March 21, so please be prepared to be self sufficient on the first night. Stargazing Joshua Tree will be on-site on Thursday and Friday nights for guests to view the night sky under incredible telescopes!

  • Shade for camp, and stakes (rebar or similar) to tie it down (crucial). We may ask you to drop shade structures/EZ ups if not secured properly or during high winds.
  • Bring food if you like, but there are yummy eats on site. Health food store, restaurants, and liquor stores are 8 miles from the festival sight.
  • Only Gas + Propane grills are allowed at the campsite.
  • No kegs allowed.
  • No loud amplified music.

  • FIRES: Wood fires are allowed only in the metal fire ring barrels. It is crucial that fires are extinguished completely before you leave the fire ring. High winds can occur without warning & carry embers.

    SMOKING: You may smoke at your campsite, please be mindful of your neighbors and don’t litter your butts!

    CAMP STOVES: You may bring white gas/propane camp stoves, charcoal grills or open flames are NOT allowed.

    WRISTBANDS: Yes, you must have one. A valid festival wristband is required to enter the Campground during the event.

    PLEASE RESPECT THE WILDLIFE: Swimming in the lake is strictly prohibited. Please leave the lake is for wildlife only. No humans, no trash. If you see a snake, leave it alone. If you think it may cause an issue, please report it to the Rangers. Lizards, birds and critters – this is their home first, leave them be.

    AMPLIFIED MUSIC: You can play music at your camp, (no sound systems or live amplified music) please be considerate of all your neighbors. If noise from your campsite is bothering your neighbors, you’ll be asked to turn it down. If your neighbors are bugging, find one of the friendly Rangers and let them know, or report to the helpers at the Greeter Hut. If multiple complaints are received about your party, Earthstar reserves the right to confiscate equipment and/or ask campers to leave.

    GENERATORS: Use of whisper quiet generators is permitted between 8am & 10pm. Please be conscious of placement and hours of use and consider your neighbors/friends. We may ask you to turn your generator off or limit use if it is being disruptive to others.

    EZ UPS/SHADE STRUCTURES: We regularly experience winds in the desert that EZ Ups are not built to withstand, they can break and turn into hazards. Please ensure any shade structures are secured properly with rebar or similar. We may ask you to drop shade structures/EZ ups if not secured properly or during high winds
